Dr. Simmons is the Director of the Biological Systems and Engineering Division at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (biosciences.lbl.gov). He also serves as the Chief Science and Technology Officer and Vice-President of the Deconstruction Division at the Joint Bio Energy Institute (www.jbei.org), a DOE Office of Science funded project tasked with the development and realization of next-generation "drop-in" biofuels and bioproducts produced from sustainable, non-food lignocellulosic biomass. He has over 380 publications and holds more than 50 patents.

Professor Raman Singh’s primary research interests are in the relationship of Nano-/microstructure and Environment-assisted degradation and fracture of metallic and composite materials, and Nanotechnology for Advanced Mitigation of such Degradations. He has also worked extensively on use of advanced materials (e.g., graphene) for corrosion mitigation, stress corrosion cracking, and corrosion and corrosion-mitigation of magnesium alloys (including for the use of magnesium alloys for aerospace, defence and bioimplant applications). Prof Singh is a senior professor at Monash University, Australia. He is a Guest Professor at ETH Zurich, Switzerland (2020, 2023, 2024), US Naval Research Lab, Indian Institute of Science, and University of Connecticut. He worked as a scientist at Indian Atomic Energy and as a post-doc fellow at University of New South Wales, Australia. Prof Singh’s professional distinctions and recognitions include: Guest Professor of ETH Zurich, Editor of a book on Cracking of Welds (CRC Press), Lead Editor of a book on Non-destructive Evaluation of Corrosion (Wiley), Editor-in-Chief of an Elsevier and two MDPI journals, leader/chairperson of a few international conferences and numerous plenary/keynote lectures at international conferences, over 265 peer-reviewed international journal publications and 15 book chapter, and several competitive research grants (that includes 4 Discovery, 7 Linkage and one ITRH grants of Australian Research Council). Prof Singh has supervised 52 PhD students. His vibrant research group at Monash University comprises of PhD students from different disciplines (Mechanical, Chemical, Materials and Mining Engineering, and Science) as well as from different cultural backgrounds (Australian, Middle-eastern, Chinese, Malaysian, Indian, African, North American and Israeli).

Prof. Richard Spontak, a Distinguished Professor at NC State University, received his Ph.D. from UC Berkeley and pursued post-doctoral research at Cambridge University before joining P&G in 1990 and NC State in 1992. He has published over 300 peer-reviewed journal papers and 40 book chapters and invited works. He has received numerous research awards including the NC State Holladay Medal for Excellence, the ACS-PMSE Tess Award, the SPSJ International Award, the IChemE Underwood Medal, the ACS-RUBB Chemistry of Thermoplastic Elastomers Award, and the IOM3 Colwyn Medal. An IOM3, ACS-PMSE, APS and RSC fellow, he is a member of the Norwegian Academy of Technological Sciences.

Paulo C. DE MORAIS, PhD, was full Professor of Physics at the University of Brasilia (UnB) – Brazil up to 2013, Appointed as UnB’s Emeritus Professor (2014), Appointed as Guest Professor of Huazhong University of Science and Technology – China (2011), Visiting Professor at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) – China (2012-2015), Appointed as Distinguished Professor at Anhui University (AHU) – China (2016-2019), Appointed as Full Professor at Catholic University of Brasília (UCB) – Brazil (2018), Appointed as CNPq-1A Research Fellowship since 2010, 2007 Master Research Prize from UnB, 2008-member of the European ERA NET Nanoscience Committee, Member of the IEEE-Magnetic Society Technical Committee, Senior Member of the IEEE Society, 2012 China’s 1000 Foreign Expert Recipient, and 2012 Academic Excellence Award from Brazilian Professor’s Union. He held two-years (1987-1988) post-doc position with Bell Communications Research – New Jersey, USA and received his Doctoral degree in Solid State Physics (1986) from the Federal University of Minas Gerais – Brazil. He graduated in both Chemistry (1976) and Physics (1977) at UnB. Professor Morais is member of the Brazilian Physical Society and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers – IEEE. He has served as referee for more than 50 technical journals, takes part of the Editorial Board of more than 15 technical journals and has conducted research on nanomaterials for over 40 years. He has delivered more than 150 Invited Talks all over the World. He is known for his research in preparation, characterization and applications of nanosized materials (magnetic fluid, magnetoliposome, magnetic nanoemulsion, magnetic nanocapsule, magnetic nanofilm, magnetic nanocomposite, nanosized semiconductors, polymeric dots, carbon dots, and graphene quantum dots). With nearly 500 published papers in peer reviewed journals, over 12,000 citations and 15 patents, he has appeared in recent World ranking of top 1% scientists, such as 2020-Stanford, 2022-Research.com, and 2023-AD Scientific Index.

Vakhtang Barbakadze has his expertise in isolation and structure elucidation of a new series of plant polyethers, which are endowed with pharmacological properties as immuno-modulatory, antioxidant, antiinflammatory, wound-healing and anti-cancer agents. Besides, he interested in enantioselective synthesis and biological activities of basic monomeric moiety of these biopolyethers, synthesis of enantiomerically pure epoxides as chiral building blocks for the production of synthetic analogues of natural polyethers by chemical and enzymetic catalysis. He has received PhD degree in Chemistry and DSci degree in Biology in 1978 and 1999 from Institute of Organic Chemistry, Moscow, Russia and Institute of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, Tbilisi, Georgia, respectively. He is Head of the Department of Plant Biopolymers and Chemical Modi¬fication of Natural Compounds at Tbilisi State Medical University I.Kutateladze Institute of Pharmacochemistry. In 1996 and 2002 he has been a visiting scientist at Utrecht University, Departments of Pharmacognosy and Medicinal Chemistry, Utrecht, The Netherlands, by University Scholarship and The Netherlands organization for scientific research (NWO) Scholarship Scientific Program, respectively. He is also an organizing committee member and renowned speaker for many reputed scientific conferences. He has published more than 100 papers in reputed journals. After getting the Ph.D. (Degree of Engineering) from the University of Tokyo in 1989, he joined the Tokyo University of Science as an assistant professor and initiated the molecular evolutionary engineering of the valuable enzymes capable of catalyzing industrially important reactions. In 1997, he visited to join as research scientist at the Institute of Molecular and Cellular Biology of Immune System, Luis-Pasteur University in France. After spending the decade, he joined Prof. Doi’s Polymer Chemistry Laboratory of RIKEN as a senior research scientist and for the first time introduced modern approaches such as enzyme evolution to the biotechnological production of natural polyesters. He was promoted to Professor at the Graduate School of Engineering, Hokkaido University, in 2004, moved to Tokyo University of Agriculture in 2017 (Prof. Emeritus of Hokkaido University) and Kobe University in 2022. His current main research focuses on the Synthetic Biology for novel type of polymers based on the creation of novel biological catalysts, and biologically active molecules that can be adapted to the desired environment or biosystems.

Rayane Sorrentino is an expert in research on marine contamination, with a focus on detecting and characterizing microplastics and chemical pollutants in environmental and biological samples. She received a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences (Biotechnology) from the University Center of Volta Redonda/RJ. Rayane holds a Master's degree in Zoology from the Graduate Program in Animal Diversity at the Federal University of Bahia, a PhD in Animal Biology from the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro - Seropédica/RJ and completed a research practicum at the University of New South Wales - Sydney/Australia.

Ping Liu is a professor in the School of Materials Science and Engineering and the Institute of Materials Science in South China University of Technology (SCUT). He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Sun Yat-sen University in 1986 and 1991, respectively, and his Ph.D. degree in Materials chemistry from Osaka University in Japan in 2000. He joined the Institute of Materials Science, South China University of Technology (SCUT) in 1991, and became a full professor in 2005. His research focuses on organic/polymer functional materials, including: organic/polymer optoelectronic materials and devices, organic/polymer flame retardant and flame retardant materials, adhesives for automotive, pressure sensitive adhesives for power batteries, etc.

Dr. R. Vaira Vignesh obtained his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (First Class with Distinction) from Karpagam College of Engineering, an autonomous institution affiliated with Anna University, Chennai. He is the first and youngest scholar to complete the doctoral program directly after a bachelor’s degree from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. He was conferred Ph.D. under the Faculty of Engineering for his significant research contribution to magnesium-based biodegradable implant materials. Dr. R. Vaira Vignesh started his professional career as a Junior Research Fellow in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Amrita School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (Coimbatore Campus). He was involved in the indigenization of laser surface texturing technology for reducing the frictional losses in automotive components and the development of wind turbine brake pads with gradient composition, and functionality that were funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. Subsequently, he joined as Assistant Professor at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. Since then, he has been making significant research contributions. He is instrumental in setting up Friction Stir Welding Lab and Materials Processing Lab. In the field of advanced materials and processing, his research and development span solid-state processing, solid-state welding, surface engineering, and powder metallurgy processing. Dr. R. Vaira Vignesh currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Amrita School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (Coimbatore Campus).

Prof Dr Vladimir Valentinovich Egorov has his expertise in theoretical molecular and chemical physics. Education: National Research Nuclear University MEPhI, Faculty of Theoretical and Experimental Physics (1966 – 1972), Moscow, USSR. He has completed his PhD from Theoretical Department of Institute of Chemical Physics, USSR Academy of Sciences (1981), and he has completed his Dr Phys&Math Sci degree from Institute of Physical Chemistry, Russian Academy of Sciences (2004). He is leading researcher at FSRC “Crystallography and Photonics”, Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow, Russia. Prof Egorov is working on the development of a fundamentally new physical theory ‒ quantum-classical mechanics and its applications in physics, chemistry, biology and biomedicine.

Abdulraheem, Mukhtar Iderawumi holds a Master of Agricultural Technology (Soil Management) in 2014 from Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria. He is a renowned researcher and academician with more than thirty five (35) published articles in reputed journals. Abdulraheem made presentation at Seminar and Conferences and a Member of International Union of Soil Science (IUSS) as well as Soil Science Society of Nigeria (SSSN). Abdulraheem M.I. is currently pursuing his PhD Agricultural Engineering since September 2020 at Henan International Joint Laboratory of Laser Technology in Agricultural Sciences, College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Henan Agricultural University, China.
